Account & Data Deletion

ExamScanify is designed with privacy and security in mind. Your student data and exam records are synced to a secured cloud database, and deleting your account will permanently remove this data from your device and our servers.

1How to Delete Your Account

As a user of ExamScanify (developed by Drift Apps), you have full control over your data. To permanently delete your account and all associated records from your device and our servers:

Step 1: In-App Deletion

Open the app and go to AccountDelete Account. This will immediately wipe your local data and securely remove your information from our cloud servers.

Step 2: Uninstall App

Uninstalling the application from your Android device settings will also remove all local storage and cached images permanently.

2What Data is Deleted?

When you use the delete function or uninstall the app, the following data is wiped from your device:

Local & Cloud Data

All student names, ID numbers, exam keys, and historical scores from your device and our servers.

Camera Images

Any saved crops of answer sheets stored in the app's private directory.

Auth Metadata

Your login tokens and basic profile association (used only for identification).

3Data Retention & Privacy

Our system respects your privacy and ensures your data is handled securely:

  • Secured Cloud Sync: Your data is synced to our secured cloud servers to enable web console access and data backup.
  • Instant Deletion: Once you tap delete, your data is wiped from your local device and permanently deleted from our servers. No "soft delete" period exists.
  • No Secondary Storage: We do not keep copies of your data on external servers for analytical or marketing purposes.

Finality of Deletion

Deletion is permanent and irreversible. We cannot recover your scores or student lists once they are deleted from your device and our servers.
